When Women Win Welcomes Its 2022-2024 Advisory Board Members

Leaders in Development, Business, Education, Diversity and Sustainability Make up the Board

Lagos Nigeria, 20th January 2023 – When Women Win, a social impact initiative for African women, has announced the formation of its 2022-2024 Advisory Board. Eight business and development leaders with a wealth of experience in diverse fields and industries including development, sustainability, business, finance, media, education, diversity, and inclusion make up the Board. The new Board members were announce on the organization’s corporate and social platforms this week.

The Advisory Board is chaired by Adetomi Soyinka, British Council Regional Director, Higher Education Programmes, Sub-Saharan Africa. Members of the board include When Women Win Founder/Executive Director, Motola Oyebanjo, Unilever Marketing Director & Divisional Lead for West Africa, Bolanle Kehinde-Lawal, Founder/Lead Consultant, Thistle Praxis Consulting, Ini Abimbola, Head of Finance Africa, Upfield Foods, Mary Ogembo, Executive Director, Media Investments & Sponsorship, OMG West Africa, Yinka Adebayo, Country Head GIABA-ECOWAS, Tim Melaye, and CEO Aerialview Marketing. Communication & Ethnic Attitude LLC, Oyebanjo Oloyede Ariyo.

Speaking during the Board’s inauguration, Adetomi Soyinka, When Women Win Advisory Board Chairperson noted; “The quality of business and development leaders on the 2022-2024 Advisory Board of When Women Win is a clear indication of the project’s intent to deliver impact for African women. We all feel very honored to be invited to be part of the important work that When Women Win is doing on the African continent, and we are committed to adding as much value as possible over the next two years to scale the impact of the organization.”

Also speaking at the inauguration, Founder/Executive Director, When Women Win, Motola Oyebanjo said, “We curated our Board of Advisors very deliberately for depth and breadth of experience, commercial acumen, an understanding of the development issues facing the African continent and strategic leaders who are known to be solution focused, among a range of diverse factors. We are quite pleased that these exceptional industry leaders have joined the Board and will add tremendous value and range to our upcoming programs and initiatives.”

This inaugural Advisory Board will help When Women Win in its work across Africa in equipping African women with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to thrive in their careers, businesses, and education while living a wholesome life.
