African Business Heroes seeks to recognise, encourage, and inspire the next generation of African entrepreneurs who are making a difference in their communities, tackling the most important issues, and creating a more sustainable and competitive economy for the future.

The project intends to be as inclusive as possible. Entrepreneurs from all African nations, all markets, and all ages are encouraged to apply in English and French if their companies are officially accredited and headquartered in an African country and have a three-year track record.

Every year, ten finalists are chosen to compete in the ABH finale pitch competition and appear in a TV show that is televised online and around the continent. The finalists will contend for a grant worth the US $1.5 million.

Eligibility

To enter our competition, you must satisfy the following requirements:

• The applicant should be the company’s Founder or a Co-Founder.
• Applicant must be an African citizen or the child or grandchild of an African citizen.
• The Company is incorporated and headquartered in an African country, and it operates primarily in Africa.
• The company is now in the post-idea stage. The company is at least three years old and has a three-year revenue trend.

Sign up for an ABH account to check your eligibility.
Fill out the submission form
Obtain a reference
Send a video introducing the company and its employees.
